Animators

Animators are creative people who can use drawings, movements or images to convey a story and to create the illusion of motion. An animator tends to work in 2D animations (such as cartoons), 3D model making animation or computer generated animation.

There are a number of stages involved in producing animation, these range from generating ideas to building models and rigging sets including specialist lighting.

Computer animation uses software known as CGI (computer generated imagery).

Concept and Origination: The brief was 'The Digital' and it had to make use of interactivity. This is an Adobe Flash animation which was conceived and completed by Andreea who comments: "I transformed the digital into 'The Digit-AL' so the character is made out of zeros and ones and so is most of the environment that Digit-AL inhabits."
